✨ Cinnamon Sticks — Warm Aroma for the Moroccan Kitchen
These whole cinnamon sticks are fragrant strips of dried cinnamon bark, selected for the warm, sweet-spiced aroma they release while simmering. Known in English as cinnamon sticks or cinnamon bark, in French as cannelle, and in Morocco as qerfa or qarfa (القرفة), they are also called darchini in parts of the Arab world. The photograph shows their natural flat, curled and broken bark form rather than uniformly rolled quills.
🌿 Traditional and Cultural Uses
In Moroccan home tradition, qerfa was added to tea, coffee, milk drinks and festive sweets for its comforting perfume. It was traditionally prepared as a warm drink in cooler weather and after meals for digestive comfort, while cooks used it to give slow-cooked dishes and desserts a rounded, aromatic character. Its familiar scent also makes it a treasured spice in family kitchens during celebrations.

🥣 Simple Cinnamon Tea
- Place one small cinnamon stick or a broken piece in a cup or small pot.
- Pour over about 250 ml of hot water.
- Cover and leave it to infuse for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Strain if needed and enjoy warm; add it to tea or milk if you prefer.

Cinnamon is the aromatic inner bark of a Cinnamomum tree. This product is sold whole as loose bark strips, with a brown outer surface and a warmer brown inner surface that becomes more fragrant when heated in liquid.

🌤️ Storage
Keep the cinnamon in a tightly closed jar or pouch in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and moisture. Stored well, whole bark keeps its aroma longer than ground cinnamon; use a clean, dry spoon or hand when taking a piece.

- Change-of-mind return: You pay the return delivery cost. The original delivery fee (MAD 20 within Safi or MAD 40 to other cities) is not refundable, but no hidden delivery fee is deducted from orders that qualified for free delivery.
- Incorrect, damaged, or defective item: We cover the agreed return cost and offer a replacement when available or a refund.
- Refund method and timing: Approved refunds are sent by bank transfer, Cash Plus, or Wafacash within 7 business days after we receive, inspect, and approve the return.
- Opened or used products: Personal care products, oils, herbs, soaps, incense, and similar products cannot be returned for a change of mind. This does not apply to an incorrect, damaged, or defective product.
- Order cancellation: You can cancel before the order is handed to the delivery company. After dispatch, the return conditions above apply.
