✨ Moroccan Soqla — A Hammam Polishing Powder
Moroccan Soqla body scrub, called Soqla and صقلة, is also written Sqala, Sakla, Sogla, Saqla and Soukla. This vivid rose-red powder is finely milled and packed loose in a clear resealable bag. Once mixed with water, it becomes a smooth paste that spreads easily over damp body skin.
🌿 Traditional and Cultural Uses
In Moroccan hammam tradition, Soqla was prepared to polish the body after steam had softened the skin. The name comes from the Arabic root for polishing or burnishing, which describes its place in the ritual. It was one of the preparations women took to the hammam, including the bridal hammam in the days before a wedding, when body care is shared as part of the celebration.
🥣 Preparation for the Hammam
- Steam or shower first so the body skin is warm and damp.
- Place a little Soqla in a bowl and add warm water gradually until it forms a smooth, spreadable paste.
- Massage the paste over the body with small circular movements. Keep it away from the face and off broken or irritated skin.
- Leave it briefly, then rinse it away completely with warm water.
Patch-test a small area before the first use.
🧾 Ingredients
Soqla is a blend of several dried plants, milled together. Individual plants are not listed here because this product is sold as the finished traditional blend, not as separate ingredients.

A dry, finely milled body-care powder with a deep rose-red colour. Its fine texture is made for mixing into a paste rather than using dry on the skin.

You receive loose Soqla powder in a resealable bag. It is available in 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg and 5kg options, so you can choose a quantity for personal hammam care or for stocking up.
⚠️ Usage Note
For external body use only. Do not swallow it, and keep it away from the eyes.
🌤️ Storage
Close the bag well after each use and keep it in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry spoon when preparing a portion so the remaining powder stays dry.

Important to know
- Change-of-mind return: You pay the return delivery cost. The original delivery fee (MAD 20 within Safi or MAD 40 to other cities) is not refundable, but no hidden delivery fee is deducted from orders that qualified for free delivery.
- Incorrect, damaged, or defective item: We cover the agreed return cost and offer a replacement when available or a refund.
- Refund method and timing: Approved refunds are sent by bank transfer, Cash Plus, or Wafacash within 7 business days after we receive, inspect, and approve the return.
- Opened or used products: Personal care products, oils, herbs, soaps, incense, and similar products cannot be returned for a change of mind. This does not apply to an incorrect, damaged, or defective product.
- Order cancellation: You can cancel before the order is handed to the delivery company. After dispatch, the return conditions above apply.
