Moroccan Wadaa brings together the familiar whole cowrie shell and its finely ground form in one choice. Known as Wadaa, Wada, ودع البحر, صدف الودع, cowrie, cowry shell, cauri and Cypraea shell, it is a marine shell material recognised by its smooth rounded ivory surface and narrow, toothed opening. The photographs show the natural variation of the Shells option: cream, ivory and pale golden markings from one loose shell to another. The Powder option is a fine, pale ground shell material for customary preparations.
