Natural Calendula

✨ Natural Calendula — Golden Flowers for Traditional Home Preparations

Calendula is the sunny orange-and-gold flower of Calendula officinalis, known in English as calendula or pot marigold, in French as souci officinal, and in Arabic as الأذريون and الآذريون. These Moroccan dried flower heads keep their soft petals, green calyxes and warm herbal scent, making them a beautiful addition to a home herb cupboard.

🌿 Traditional and Cultural Uses

In Moroccan, Mediterranean and Arab household traditions, calendula was kept as a gentle flower for simple home preparations. It was traditionally steeped as a golden herbal infusion, added to bath water, and prepared as a cooled floral rinse or compress for the skin. Its bright colour also made it welcome in decorative herbal blends and handmade beauty rituals.

🍵 How to Use

• 🌼 Steep the dried flowers for a warm, lightly floral infusion.
• 🛁 Add a handful to a bowl or bath of warm water for a traditional floral soak.
• 🧴 Prepare a cooled infusion for a simple external rinse or compress.
